Heart of the Craft

Recognizing worthy brothers

The Heart of the Craft Award recognizes a Brother whose actions embody the true spirit of Freemasonry beyond the walls of the Lodge. This honor is chosen by the sitting Worshipful Master of North Star Lodge, based on recommendations submitted by the members.

The award is presented to a member of the fraternity who has made a meaningful and lasting impact on his Lodge, his community, or his country through service carried out beyond his normal lodge responsibilities or professional duties. Recipients exemplify dedication, selflessness, and quiet leadership - demonstrating that the heart of the Craft is found in service to others.

Requirements:

  • The recipient must be a Freemason in good standing.
  • The nominee must have made a meaningful impact on his Lodge, his community, or his country.
  • Such impact must be the result of service performed beyond the scope of normal Lodge offices, routine Lodge duties, or professional employment.
  • The service rendered should reflect the core Masonic values of brotherly love, relief, and truth.
  • The nominees actions should demonstrate integrity, selflessness, and a sustained commitment to serving others.

The award is intended to recognize exceptional service and may not necessarily be presented monthly or annually.
